Of all flowering bulbs, the Amaryllis are the easiest to bring to bloom. Mostly used in the winter, these gorgeous, delicate flowers are becoming very popular in wedding bouquets and arrangements as it demands the spotlight with its thick stems and full petals. It comes in many beautiful varieties including various shades of red, white, pink, salmon and orange. There are also many striped and multicolored varieties, usually combining shades of pink or red with white.
If choosing the Amaryllis as the focal point of your bridal bouquet or centerpieces, you might want to use light, airy foliage instead of other flowers as fillers. This way the bridal bouquet will be luscious instead of over-whelming. If you do decide to include other flowers, make sure you choose flowers with the same texture like roses, tulips or orchids.
